The purpose of this assignment is to provide information about resources and “news” that will be pertinent for those in information technology careers.
For this assignment:
Part I.
Find an Information Technology “News” Event that appeared in the news in the last six (6) months from the resources provided…

Part II. Write an essay addressing the following:
- (a.) Describe/explain the information policy event or topic area (b.) identify what you believe is the core issue and (c.) describe any possible information policy implications that you perceive;
- Identify the stakeholders related to that information policy event or topic and explain how you perceive they might be involved;
- Provide your own assessment and understanding of the core of the policy event or topic and any issues related to this policy event or topic as you perceive it;
- Discuss the significance of the policy event or topic as it may impact society and/or individuals ;
- Discuss possible implications for information professionals.
The assignment must include the following:
- Correct APA Format for in-text citations
- an introductory paragraph,
- text body paragraphs,
- a concluding paragraph,
- list of references (labeled References) on a separate page,
- use MS WORD as a “.doc†or “.docx†document only!
- Check spelling and grammar,
- Formatting for the text pages should be as follows: 1-inch margins, 12-point font, double-spaced, page numbers, and last name in the header.
